(Your Advice) Upgrade to AMD Phenom II x4 965?

I decided to do some spring cleaning and sold alot of old equipment on EBay. Now I am looking to upgrade my PC for video editing and some better gaming performance. I Currently have an AMD Phenom x4 9550 which definitely hold it’s own. Is upgrading to the 965 a worthwhile investment? Help me out!!!! ReviewTechUSA

intel is to expensive go for amd 965 i have it and it is awesome

Intel will generally show better performance in video editing, but you are also going to pay a premium both for the processor and the motherboard.

I would save $30 and get the Phenom II X4 955. It is essentially the same as the 965, just clocked a bit lower, and it is EASILY overclocked. Your memory is not going to bottleneck hardly anything.

That advice is coming from someone who will buy an i5-750 this summer, so I’m not biased towards either AMD or Intel.

I say upgrade to Intel AMD arent the best for rendering things like editing encoding and gaming ull hold off and get the Core i7 970 that comes out 3Q2010 or Core i7 980x is out they are best for saving time
